They say that how you use social media can provide insight into your character. Of course, “they” charge big bucks and call that therapy, but still, there's probably some truth to it.
For instance, I got this buddy who's big-time into bicycles. He’s got all the gear, all the clothing, and owns bikes that are more complicated than the space shuttle.
So the other day he posts a picture of him fixing to go on a trail ride, posed in front of a sign that reads “Warning! Bear Habitat”. Now bears don't think of the forest as habitat, they think of it as dinner table. So basically you're heading out for a spin on some bears charcuterie board.
I should point out, that kind of thinking is slightly askew.
But more to my point, a number of my friends have taken to posting pictures of weird food on my Facebook. They're like “Oh look, a picture of lasagna stuffed with hot dogs and topped with grape jelly. John would love this.”
No, actually, John wouldn't.
It was all in good fun though until yesterday when it took a dark turn into madness. Someone posted a picture of jello shaped like a bundt cake, filled with dentures. You can't imagine it, can you? So here's the picture
.Now I showed you that picture for two reasons. One, I'm a big fan of, “If I'm suffering, everybody suffers”.
And two, she's the kind of woman I would have married before I found out what married meant. A mind like hers is a feature, not a problem. So there you have it, can you tell a lot about a person by looking at their social media?
Let me know how you feel in the comments.
